Work hard, mom harder. Stay in shape, stay sane. Maintain relationships, maintain a household. Did someone say this is having it all?

I’m Rachel Lightfoot and I’ve spent the better part of a decade a career woman— at a job I absolutely loved ... at the most accommodating company in the world (Google!) and yet… returning to work after having my first child was the hardest day of my life.

Upon my return to work, I made it my mission to find out if I was the only one wandering around the office trying to distract myself from the fact that I was literally a different person now than before going on maternity leave.

Why wasn’t I prepared for this?

Nearly 100 "coffee chats" with other career-moms later, I was clearly not alone and decided it was important to bring these stories to life, and to action.

Today, I work to empower parents and their employers to de-stigmatize and even GLORIFY real stories of “having it all” — what does it truly take to be successful at work and at home? What are the tools needed for success?

I give keynotes and teach workshops giving practical advice (through hilarious story-telling) on how to affect change in the workplace, inspire compassion, get your groove back, and ask for help.

I’ve worked with Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and moms just like you to make “having it all” a real thing, and a topic of joyful conversation.

Like this topic? I thought so! I'm writing a book based on the countless harrowing and hilarious tales I've picked up over the years. Stay tuned.
